Shobud pro II custom , blonde, 3 pedals, 4 knee levers, with original shobud case. Guitar was built and re-finished by forum member Skip Ellis. When i bought the guitar I added the proper scale white shobud fretboard. Guitar has teardop knee levers and wide pedals. Guitar stays in tune and plays like butter. Emmons setup. Nylon tuners. Has some rash on pedal bar. 2 legs are new replacements. Guitar finish is really nice. Has a few imperfections but no scrathes or major dings. Case is fair but solid. Undercarriage is very clean. black leather pad. I have used this guitar for many live shows and the guitar plays beautifully and stays in tune. Has that classic shobud tone. Selling to thin the herd. $1700 plus shipping.

Thanks chris. Yes the neck was originally the c6 neck from a pro Ii custom. The sd10 cabinet was built to Skip's specs. The undercarriage is definately early pro II. The hardware was from many different guitars. Nice guitar though if you dont mind a non-original shobud that plays and sounds good and stays in tune.
Any other questions please feel free to ask.

Here is the link to the add when i bought the guitar from skip. It explains in detail the history of the guitar and its origins pointing out that it is not an orginal shobud proII, but a custom using shobud pro II hardware.
Thanks Chris for pointing out the details.

Folks, this is a great little guitar - I know because I built it and then rebuilt and refinished it before Adam got it. I sent it to Leon Roberts for set up and it plays great. It's all original ShoBud parts that came from the back neck of a Pro II and everything else came directly from Shot Jackson - this is no hodge-podge guitar. The original ShoBud decal (since replaced) was sent to me by George Lewis who checked out the guitar after I built it in '76. The end plates are Lloyd Green, direct from Shot.
If I could swing it, I'd buy it back but I'm not able to do so at the present time as other things demand the $$$.
I don't think you'll be disappointed. _________________ 2013 Brook Torridge, 2014 Martin 000-18, two homebrew Teles, Evans RE200 amp, Quilter 101R head, understanding wife of 45 years. 'Steeless' at the moment but looking...... |
