Well most of you don't get to hear Paul Franklin play like that; but I have heard everything Paul has played and that is certainly Paul Franklin with "in your face" classic pedal steel guitar playing.
(if I'm wrong; than I will eat my foot)....ha.

Not surprisingly, Paul Franklin, according to Wikipedia. So it must be true. I saw it on the internet

Ain't bad? OMG I would hate to hear what you consider bad. Or, I would love to be what you consider bad...

Joe, let me re-phrase: This is smokin' steel. Paul Franklin eh?--that seems right. I like the original for Jeannie's vocal, it was the first on I learned. Lorrie Morgan sounds great, no argument. But, check the intro on J. Seely's version:

Both versions make me smile.

Ricky: Don't eat your foot! Or if you do, make it the right one. Ask Herb Steiner which is the better foot to injure.

That's some fabulous steel work. I want to thank you for posting this. I just received word that a group I'll be with Fri. will be doing this tune. I think it'll be the male version......probably Mel Tillis style.

I'm almost embarrassed to admit I don't remember hearing it before, but I'm glad I got it now.

If you want to hear an even better version, check out Bob Lucier's instrumental of this song. Spine-chilling stuff, on a Fulawka with monster tone. Not on youtube as far as I can see, but well worth looking out for.

I'll vote for Lorrie Morgan, the voice, tempo, steel; what a great rendition and yes I'm a huge Paul Franklin fan. IMO, all of us sound a little different from each other and I believe that we can be influenced by our generation. It's so hard for me to get used to some of the new stuff that is played on some radio stations today.
