it's fun to watch you develop your style on a slightly unorthodox tuning. the high end makes some logical stuff possible. i'd be interested to see how you would jump down to some basic 6th style backup chords. nothing too overextended, just like wide 3 finger grips on the c6 neck.

i love the concept of one 12 string tuning that would allow me to play whatever i could think of.
and since i'm not a highly developed jazz chord whizz, keeping it fairly simple is best for me.....but with cool voicings.

keep up your weird uniqueness brother!

Thank you for the insight into the raises on the 4th string. I would like to hear more discussion of that.

I'm in the process of setting my MSA up in an adaptation of your 10 string tuning, turned around for an Emmons set up. The more open spacing of the grips is one of the reasons for my interest.

Hey Chris,,,this is not an "experimental" tuning,,,Zane has been smokin' on that basic tuning for at least 30 years. And Zane Beck developed the concept even before that. It already incorporates the 6th tuning AND the 9th,,, open,,,the C# makes it an E6,,,and the F# makes it an E9. I think the main drawback has always been the lack of instructional material.

Thanks Chris! I have posted a couple of videos below that show a bit of the "C6" stylings you requested.

That's awesome Rich! Good luck!

Always good to see you chime in on my threads Sonny! You're the best! ZB was a master! I'm privileged to have spent so much time with him as a youngster. He was truly a father figure for me.
