I just got this steel this weekend in Austin. I really like this guitar alot...great sound, easy playability and great looks. It has the Franklin pedal so I will have to figure out how to use it. Order the instruction course from Paul, and also it has 7 knee levers, so that is new to me. since I am used to 4...will have to figure out how to use those
it has great pickups and the rounded neck...beautiful guitar from the original owner...i feel very fortunate to own this guitar, so my red, white and blue GFI might be for sale soon ! haha...i dont need 2.btw this is the 3rd Carter D10 I have owned...this one is a keeper for me.

Dan, Good question...to be honest I cant really put my finger on it...it just seems to play smoother and the tone seems better to my ears...the first one that I had was an early one and John Fabian (may he rest in peace) made a few changes to it to bring it up to date, so to speak, when I sold it. I really didnt have the second one that long,,,it was new in 96 I believe and I immediately bought a Zumsteel, which I wish I still owned. So things have kinda clouded up for me since those days, but those 2 items, ease of pedal action, and the tone jump out at me. The more I play this one, the more I like it...I just feel comfortable behind it. Maybe psychological ?? Smile
