You mean one of these...
My opinion..as far as distortion goes night and day.
I like the Earth drive much better and have owned both.
Of course the steel driver has a match box / super sustainer in it that works well with a pot pedal but not for distortion.
Two separate devices in one.
The Earth drive is a distortion unit.

Thanks Ken, I have a B.B. and I wanted to use some distortion. A friend of mine has the matchbox which sounded real good, but I thought from reading Brad's page that the E.D. had a tone/boost adjustment that if I just wanted clean I could have that too.

I've had people misspell my name as "Micheal" most of my life. I'm sure you know how to spell your name; what is the origin of that spelling?
Anyway...I've never used the Goodrich pedal, but I have an Earth Drive. If you turn the Drive all the way down, you can use the ED as a boost pedal, with the advantage of adjusting the treble (tone) if you wish at the same time. Very versatile pedal.
