Granted, this is not a cheap amp - I wonder how it would sound for PSG? Anyone try one? I wonder if this would have a Little Walter type vibe.
To me, it looks like it could be a monster amp-of-one for both PSG and six string.

Victoria's are great. I have a tweed bassman made by them that I use for guitar. Bob Dylan uses a golden melody fwiw...
The golden melody is however very different from a little walter, or probably any amp made specifically for steel guitar. It has reverb, vibrato, and a full, tweed bassman-esque tone stack (way more components than a LW). Mostly though, the gain structure is suited better for six string, and not so much for maximum clean volume and wide eq response. Another big difference is that the Victoria uses nine pin tubes. Little Walter has octals in the first position and phase inverter.
If I were to buy another high dollar amp for double duty, I'd be looking at the Milkman "Sideman". |

You're probably right....but look at the two-tone!
Seriously though, the Sideman looks pretty awesome for what I'm looking for.

Maybe a monster for 6-string or lap steel, but at 50 watts, you'll likely struggle using it for pedal steel, especially with an open-back cabinet.  I have a wonderful B/F Twin, but its 60 watts would be totally inadequate for a lot of gigs I play. |

| there are so many beautiful boutique tube amps available. if only one of the builders could figure out how to make one sound as good as a $300 peavey steel amp. |
