This Peavy Session 400, purchased new in about 1965 however it has low hours on the unit. Unit is about 9.5.....in appearance; no physical damage or blemishes. No beer bottle rings nor cigarette gold...........
It has a 15 inch Black Widow speaker; comes with a factory black cover and affects/and floor pedal with cord.
Serviced some years back by an authorized Peavy Technician.
Unit played by a professional musician on limited stage gigs.
I have it here in Portland but due to the weight I feel shipping might be rather excessive.

I think it is the weight. Just in the last few months
I have built a cabinet for 2 Nv 400's and a session
400 power amps. along with several speaker cabs. Being
able to split the weight helps out alot. I've always
helped out the PV amps with rack delay and comp. This
setup works for me. Just my 2 cents. JM |

Years ago while searching for a different sounding amp, I visited a Peavey Dealer and tried out every box in the store.
My eyes focused on a smaller cabinet that was labeled
SESSION LA-400. I was immediately attracted to it as it was ideal in size for a practice amp. It had 250 Watts and a 12 inch speaker.
I purchased it and when I attempted to lift if off the floor I nearly succumbed. There's a magnet on the back of it that must weight at least 85 pounds.
Whew! It's heavier than any straight Session 400. |

THANKS PETE for your correction. I didn't have that info' available at my finger tips nor did I still have the store receipt.
At my age, everything seems to be associated with "way back when"..........
I assure everyone, it was not an attempt to mislead.
I simply didn't remember WHEN I'd purchased it. So, now that we've established it as being ten years newer, how much more should I increase the price? |
