Just acquired this little beauty, im guessing mid to late 70s, bolt-on wood neck. Anyone familiar with these?

Bob, that is truly a beautiful instrument that'll give you years of enjoyable playing.
The fat back apron would indicate the vintage as early to mid 70's.
Keep on pickin'!

Bob,
Wow, what a beauty!! I bet it sounds like a million bucks. I'd guess it was built about 1974 or possibly a little later but that's because of the narrow style cast pedals. I believe Emmons used the wide style through about 1973 or so. Around 1975 they started putting a relief in the rear aprons, but they may have used a fat back cabinet they had on hand for your guitar. Because of that possibility, it could be a mid to late 70's guitar. If you check with Bobbie at Emmons Guitar with the serial number, she might be able to look up the original warranty card with the ship date on it.
I'm sure you'll really enjoy owning it, regardless of when it was built! _________________ Best regards,

Very nice. Are those the original fretboards? When did they switch to the wide frets? |
