This clip, recorded this date was inspired by Buddy Emmons, my true INSPIRATION! Andy Sandoval, an internet friend of mine offered valuable assistance and my new friend Kurt Kowalski who came up with support out of nowhere.
I just love playing a lap steel this way. I am a Pedal Steel player also which has helped me immensely arranging pedal emotions to the Lap Steel or Non Pedal Steel whichever you prefer.
I have instruction available and am open to contact via email. Link to LILLY DALE...

Another nice "pedal steel-ish" lap steel tune, Roy!

Great fellas! I love working this tuning and for me it is a keeper. Little new things keep poking up all the time. Smile
Thank you

Roy, that is very nice E9 playing on a lap steel. I recently got myself a lap steel, but it's only got 6 strings. Can I play E9 like in your Lilly Dale link above on a 6 string, or do I need an 8 string lap steel?

Can I get anything like this with 6 strings in E9?

thanks

Hi Matthew,
You can do a lot with 6 strings. I have tabs that feature the pedal feel in C6th and it comes through very well when the technique is practiced and mastered. I can give you samples and explain it better if you wish to contact me via email.

Roy
