WTB a hard shell case that will provide a snug fit for a Bakelite Rickenbacher steel guitar.

Ray, I few years ago I needed a decent case for my old '63 Martin Tiple. The case I had was an old cardboard case and virtually useless. The Martin Tiple is virtually identical in size to a ukelele. So I just telephoned some music stores (not the one at the mall) to see if they had any decent hard shell cases that where just floating without an instrument to go with them.
Long story short, I found a great case , I don't even remember what it was built for, but with a slight modification, I shaved off some of the styrofoam padding, it fits the tiple perfectly.
You could probably do that. Call up a couple ma & pa music stores if there are any in you area and just ask if they have any odd cases floating in the back room. Bring your Ric down there and see if one fits. Thats what I did and the music store folks where happy to get rid of it because it was just floating in the back. So I got a REAL good price an a real good case for a REAL delicate instrument.
I don't have to tell you how priceless those Rics are cause you the Rick Man! Smile
