How did Lloyd do it? I've tried using:
1) strings 1 and 3 using the B pedal
2) strings 1 and 3 no pedals (using bar movement instead of the B pedal)
3) strings 3 and 4 using the C pedal
4) strings 1 and 4 no pedals -starting WAY high up the neck
3 seems to work best for me. _________________ Dave Zirbel-

Option #4 is what always spoke to me the strongest.
Long ago I swore off guessing, speculating or claiming to know how Lloyd actually played something so I'm not talking about that at all. Just what feels/sounds right when I play with it. |

Those Little Darlin' recordings are the apex of country music. Lloyd never sounded better. |

I find it really hard to do without the B pedal. I guess that's why he's Lloyd and I'm, well, .... not. |

I think you just gotta wiggle that bar more, like over exagerated vibrato as oppossed to pedaling that trill.
Thanks for confirming Rick. _________________ Dave Zirbel-
