If it has round shafts rather than flat bars, replacement parts are freely available from at least 3 sources. And the guitars are amazingly well made. Its only drawback is the weight, as they are heavy. I love mine. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

A month or so ago , I just purchased a 74 classic 5X8 with round shafts, it was 1500.00 , The start of the pedals L-R were moved from the far left to the right one set of pedals for ease of footwork, dont know how they did it but its comfortable & a fine guitar for the money, Everything worked very well and IMO you`ll not lose out any money in the future. Its a cool guitar , make sure the 2 center case latches on each side of the handle are in good shape, As Lane says , "its heavy" _________________ SO MANY LURES, SO LITTLE TIME.... |

Craig, other than the inconvenience of pulling the 1st shaft out and moving it down to 9, it's dead easy.
I think MSA built 'em moved down one, unless they had 9 or 10 pedals. One clue whether they built it that way: is there an empty cleat where P1 would be on the pedal rack? _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Greg...I bought a D10 new in 1973 and played in for 30 yrs...still have it. Those MSAs are the mechanical standard I hold all other guitars to. Haven't found one yet that exceeds their design, IMO. I give Bud Carter his due for that. Tone...now that's a different story. |

Darn. I had to have cleats added to my rack on my Uni. The aprons had holes for 10 and 7, but the rack had 6 cleats, had to have Michael Yahl add 4 cleats _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
