As many of you know from my many requests on the Forum for specific tracks and the fact that being legally blind often puts a barrier in processing what would be normal work for sighted folks.
Recently, I discovered HiTraxMidi.com out of Australia, and attempted to purchase one track as a trial. I use many, many tracks for students to whom I teach lap steel. While most are older folks and are familiar with older music, some younger ones naturally want today's music. I saw HiTraxMidi.com as a good source albeit the price of $4.50 each is totally unreasonable.
Their site for downloading a track is not user friendly at least for me. I clicked on the tune I wanted, and when I did, a dropdown menu in Amazon.com style appears which says, “People who bought this (X) track also bought (Y)”. Somehow, that “Y” ended up as my downloaded track. There is no way to recoup any good out of it, no credit, no replacement et al.
So this is just a heads-up on HiTraxMidi.com. To confirm this, they must have tons of problems because they have a big note to check again the track number you wish, but the track numbers mean nothing, it's the tune title that counts.
