That famous old tune favored by many a banjer picker can now be heard on the JerryByrd-FanClub.com site on Ray's CD's page.

It's a Jerry Byrd arrangement that I did when I was in my mid-twenties over KGW-TV and the Heck Harper Show, Circle Eight Hoedown.

That's the quad BIGSBY thro' a Fender 4x10 Bassman amp and an Echolette Reverb unit.

Hope one or two of you might enjoy this glimpse into the past.

My guitarist friend and I have been jamming on this tune but have yet to perform it. We're using the Real Book chart which is in Ab. The first chord has a #11 note which gives it a really unique tonality for soloing. I like it!

And remember it is the lead-off tune on the "Jazz by Jernigan" CD, wherein Mr. Jernigan gives it an admirable munching.

......despite my disagreement with many of your musical views and use of exaggerated ellipses, you are nailing some of my favorite tunes. Very cool ......

do you have any recordings where he stretched out a bit on some of this stuff?
