I have a 6 string not sure of the year it has screw in legs and is a great sounding steel.
I have seen lots of comments that go on about the fact the Horseshoe pickup is not magnetised etc. I wouldnt be too concerned its a great powerfull fat sounding pickup that gives my Bakelites a run for their money, loads of sustain and very well built with Noble pots and Gotoh tuners.
Cheers. |

I have an 8 string long scale model and I really like it. I bought mine used from a steeler in New York and got a certificate of authenticity along with it. This was back when Jerry Byrd and Shot Jackson were doing business together. After Jerry and Shot split sheets, Jerry got together with Excel to build them.
