Hello,

I just joined a real fine group of musicians known as Thelonious Hank in Toronto Canada.

The band covers material ranging from Thelonious Monk to Hank Williams hence the name.

Here are a few clips of the band :

I hope you enjoy them!

I think Webb Pierce recorded "There Stands The Glass" too. Great stuff Bob! Do you guys play "Round Midnight"?

Thanks for the kind words.

Needless to say, I love this band for the variety.

There Stands The Glass is one of my favorite country songs.

Unfortunately, we do not do the great classic Round Midnight.

Once in a while our lead singer Ted Hawkins sings Night Life.

Thanks again for listening!

Bob...excellent mon ami. This group swings with a capital "S". The videos sort of reminded me of a group like the Time Jumpers...the swing and joy in the music. This group would be great in a live gig situation, with people dancing and grooving. Even "Well you needn't" would have made the crowd dance. Like I said, this group swings with a capital "S"

Love the sound of the band. Is the guitar player playing a Excelsior amp? The bass amp looks like one of the old flip top Ampeg.

Thanks again for the nice words!

I agree!

This rhythm section swings really well. We have a lot of fun!

Kevin Walsh uses a flip top Ampeg bass amplifier.

Nichol Robertson uses a Fender Excelsior Pro Guitar amplifier.

Check out Nichol's site.

He can really play!

Bob: I consider myself really lucky to have you as my PSG teacher. Love Thelonious Hank, the great variety of tunes, and especially the fun you're having up there on stage.

David - As far as teaching steel guitar is concerned, I love it especially when the students share my passion for this wonderful instrument. You are one of them!

That's very cool your guitar player uses an Excelsior. For a vintage style tone its great. You guys have a great sound and presence. I'd pay to see that.

BOB - Let me know when you will be returning to the area, I would like to jam with you & the gang at the Firehouse.

How did you like the squeeze box guy. I think he is from Canada & is French.

Great stuff. Lifted my spirits on a downer day.

What's the name of that Latin/exotica instrumental? My memory isn't what it used to be. (I think.)
