For Sale: PEDALMASTER S-10 5 pedal x 4 knee lever
Plays like a dream !! NEW UNDERCARRIAGE REBUILD. Emmons set up. When I got this guitar the undercarriage was a mess.
I sent it to PAUL REDMOND and he completely went thru the undercarriage. I have a 2 page sheet he sent back with it that he had done to it.
I will enclose the sheet from Paul for the buyer.
Just briefly, he did the following & more:
1) Completely disassemble, clean, reassemble the all pull changer
2) All new 308SS pull rods, and pull rod bushings (27 of them)
3) Cut leg slots deeper for more stability
4) New Axles on pedal, new saddles for all 5 pedals
5) Trim excess material off knee levers, & add adjustment screws for angularity
6) Widen slots in knee lever mounts
7) Milled divider ribs out of Right Hand end plate opening
eight) New leg tips
9) "Bumper" rod on RKL to allow for timing split on string #6 (F# is timed w/ black nylon tuner)
10) 2 new Knee Lever mounts for RKR and LKR Knee levers
11) New 5-40 x 1-1/8" white nylon tuners, black delrin Whitney spacer sleeves, on all pull rods
12) 1/32" delrin spacers on all RP axles between pedals & saddles
13) clean, reassemble, lube rollers & axle
14) new travel stop posts for knee levers
15) surface grind "rest" bar for changer to eliminate rough machining marks
16) Shorten Knee Levers to eliminate interference upon folding
17) reversed inner tubes in front legs, re-drilled leg clamp/rack screw holes at proper dimension
Eighteen) installed new strings & reset tension on tuning keys.
There are more items, but I showed you all of this just so you can see that this guitar is basically
rebuilt on the undercarriage.
Anyone that knows Paul Redmond, you know that he is a PROFESSIONAL A-1 machinist and a fine pedal steel repairman and pedal steel guitar manufacture.
For those with knowledge of MSA's, you can see that this is an MSA body. In fact, when I received the guitar I thought someone put a PEDALMASTER logo on an MSA. I found out that Roy Thomas had purchased all of the MSA Classic inventory and his firs few guitars and those built by Ray Payne in Arizona were actually MSA Classic pedal steels. Now Paul has added his touch to it to make it a fine PRO pedal steel guitar. It does truly play and sound great !!
Case is in godd shape also. All spare old parts, including some pull rods, etc. will be included in the sale.

Pedal 1 lowers strings 3 & 6 G# to G
Pedals 2-4 Emmons set up
Pedal 5 raises string 3 & 6 G# to A
LKL raises the E's
LKR lowers the E's
RKL raises 1 F# to G & lowers 6 G# to F#
(has bump rod-black hex nylon tuner)
RKR lowers 2 D# to D, and then C#
lowers 9 D to C# (note: set for 1/2 stop bump @ D)
