iv,e had my encore a week now and can,t say enough good things about it. the tone is killer all the way up the neck clear as a bell. great string seperation, and the smoothnes in the pedels. the guitar is very solid. and not to mention how great doug is to deal with. i would recomend the guitar to anyone in the market to get a new one. and the best part it stays in tune the whole night of playing. iv,e had a lot of complamente on the tone also. thanks doug for a geat guitar. bob graff |

Doug winds a nice humbucker. I have the standard humbucker on the Stage One, and it sounds very clear through everything. On this old Laney I've been using lately, I can crank it and it maintains its character all the way up the amp's volume dial, even with a little gain thrown in. The sustain is substantial. |

Thanks for the plug Bob! It was great to do business with you and thank you for the tips on applying laminates. It's always good to talk to someone with a lot of experience.
Daniel I appreciate the kind words about the pickups. Just for the sake of clarity I would like to state that I do not actually manufacture the pickups. They are made by a very well respected master pickup maker. _________________ Doug Earnest

Thanks for the clarification, Doug.
Just out of curiosity, are the specs for the Encore humbucker similar to the Stage One's?
Thanks.

Yes Dan, they are the same identical pickup. I did have the output increased a wee bit recently. |
