If it's truly a 1977, it stands a chance of being a pretty good one. Isn't that when Don Young was there? I had two from around 1980, and with a good set up, they kicked.

Well, I appreciate the information and check the number on mine. Exchanged a MSA PSG for mine also was handed $500.00. in 1979 thought it was a good deal. the number on the end of the neck reads. D 589 6 Which looks like it is missing a number and the D is in the wrong place. If I remember correctly in the conversation something was said about it being hand made? Da aren't the all? It is a beautiful instrument looks like the real thing and what a beautiful sound. Any Thoughts?

Hi guys,
Darrel contacted me to intervene for a second.

He is having trouble accesing the internet and is out of town for the weekend.

He will be able to address all of your questions early next week.

He also told me to post about the pickup....
He said that he does not know what type it is nor are they any markings. But it does work.

On a side note... I once owned a sister to this Dobro and it is to me "the one that got away"
Best sounding and playing Dobro I ever had. My opinion only

I feel that this is a great deal.

Have a great day...

Kurt
