My good friend Jos Smith, steel guitar virtuoso from Orange County, in action at the European Steel Guitar Festival . Here are two well known tunes to enjoy. Recorded at the Atlantic hotel in Kijkduin, Holland, on 5 May. 2013. In addition to the US, steel guitarists from the UK, Belgium, Gemany, Holland, and France were in attendance at the Festival.

Aloha Jeff. Thanks for your kind words. I forgot the make of the guitar except it is a European made 6 string lap. I let you know as soon as my friend gets back from France. Use C6 for Hula Blues(F)and A6 for Sand(D)instead of B11. I like to slant the E chord, sounds a lot better in my opinion. The amp was a Fender Super Reverb. My idols were Sol Hoopii, Andiona, G.deFretes, Rudy Wairata, J. Bird etc. The lap steel was not used for years, so I had to clean the pots to make it a better instrument. I am in the process in copying the DVD where I played 6 songs. I will send you a copy as soon as I am done. Say hi to all my Hawaiian steelers in Hawaii. Mahalo.
