Folks, had the pleasure of listening to Jim Abney on a single neck Rains, with Rance Norton this evening at Anhalt Dance Hall in Spring Branch, TX, just north of San Antonio.
The rest of the band was Shorty Grisham-bass, Jake Metheny-drums, John Schattenberg-fiddle and they were great. Real good music all night long. Rance is a good singer and that was a superb band.

I had the pleasure of backing Rance at some gigs in Ireland recently. He's certainly a fine singer. I listened to Rance's CDs while preparing for the gigs. They're top class productions with superb steel playing from Dicky Overby and Jim Loessberg.
