Interesting article on the late Jimmy Colvard. I couldn't find any examples of his playing to post however.

Was Jim with Barefoot Jerry or Area Code 615? That would have been in the early to mid 1970's?

Didn’t get into steel until moving to Mpls in 1977. Remember people were talking about Jim Colvard. After watching Yakety Axe, I understand now what all the fuss was about. Thanks for the links, Kevin and Dave.

Wasn't that his guitar licks on Dave Dudley's "Six Days on the Road"?... I'd heard somewhere that it was him.........JH in Va.
