Just saw this. Ad date is Thursday 5/9/13 and text reads: "ZB Custom Dual Neck Pedal Steel Guitar. Needs a little TLC but a great instrument. 559-361-0376" There are 8 pics of it and it's located in Lindsay, CA. Note 11 string necks.

It's for real. Just got back from seeing it in person. Pretty beat so I passed, but seems like it's pretty much original. Though I'm not familiar with ZB's it has 4 pedals, two of which seem added. Seller is not a player. I'm happy to try to answer any questions now having seen it. |

Four pedals? The photos show eight. How bad is it? How much work (and money) will it take to make it usable? _________________ Just another belt & suspenders guy... |

Forgive my typo. Meant to say four knee levers. It does have 8 pedals, Day set-up. Two knee levers are black anodized rectangular and two are plain aluminum with rounded edges.
Hard for me to speculate money or originality. (I've only owned 2 Sho-Buds.) Depends on degree of restoration you'd want to put into it. It is pretty dirty like it has been sitting uncovered for years. There are a couple of pieces of hardware hanging loose underneath. Undercarriage looked pretty good, pretty clean aside from cobwebs. Only rust was on pedal rods and Kluson tuners. Pedal throws were radically off, like the A pedal was 2 inches lower than the B pedal. Wood finish is pretty bad with finish cracks in top with slight lifting/curling along length of crack, dried-out looking. Blue layer of finish on front is flaking off in large pieces revealing plain maple beneath as you can see in the pic in his ad. Aluminum was not significantly pitted but could use polishing. No strings were on the C6 neck so couldn't tell much about it. Played it through an amp he had and the volume pedal was quiet, not scratchy. I'll do my best to tell you more if you PM your phone number. |

That's a solid $1500-$2000 restoration with refinish ( which looks like a must). |

As a side note, Allen and Shelly Frizzell lived in Lindsay, CA in 1977. They quit her Mom's (Shelly West) band and got married. They had a steady gig waiting for them at "The Frizzell Mirror Room" LOL... Of course this is 4 years before "You're The Reason God Made Oklahoma" |
