Does anyone have experience with the Stringmaster-style guitars John Allison makes in Austin? I'd appreciate any impressions you can share. |

I can offer a recommendation from afar as a Stringmaster and also Allison single 8 owner. The Allison is an excellent instrument. It will produce Stringmaster sounds with some extra timbral dimension from the four way pickup selector. Very happy with mine. |

Thanks, Guy. Does yours have the Duncan pickups or the Rio Grande? |

Ian,
I've got a double 8 with Rio Grande pick ups. I'll be selling it soon (too much guitar, a single six is all I can keep up with). It sounds great. Let me know if you're interested.

Allison guitars has the Stringmaster sound dialed in. They are great. You cannot go wrong with one. The ones I have played had the rio grande pickups. _________________ Bob |
