You guys know about "hello Music"? Internet based equipment discount house? They ran a special - have Robby Turner record steel tracks on your tunes for $200. That's kind of crazy, huh?

Not sure of you have to register to see the listing but here is the text:
Overview
What It Is: This Deal is a Web-Session offer for Pedal Steel Master Robby Turner to add pedal steel to your recording. Robby will record two complete takes to your song at his Nashville Studio, allowing you to use whichever take you like best, or edit a comp track yourself to your liking.
Why this is a great opportunity: Robby Turner is a master of Pedal Steel Guitar, and will elevate the energy of your track to a new level you won’t believe. Robby played for years with the great Waylon Jennings, and has worked and/or toured with such acts as The Dixie Chicks, Jerry Lee Lewis, Charlie Rich, Tony Joe White, The Highwaymen (Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash & Kris Kristofferson) and many more.
*Taking bookings for two weeks only

Agent? Me?
No, I'm a beginning player. I just ran across it and thought it would be interesting to post. I don't have any opinion of it, other than I found it to be an interesting way to generate business. Seems to me a guy with his resume would be a little more "picky" with the projects he took on, but if he can cash in and make some money, why not? |

James, It's called "Making a Living".. Robby is a great guy and player and like most musicians like and need to work. Nashville is not as busy as it once was so many great players are doing this.. |

In re-reading my post, I think it may have come off as a slam to Robby. It was not intended as such. I know he is a great player. Certainly didn't mean to offend. |
