Come out to the Denver Steel Guitar Show on June 30th at Lannie's Clock Tower Cabaret. Attached is this year's poster, listing some of our featured players. I'll post more information as it becomes available.

Here are some of the players who have confirmed for the Denver Steel Guitar Show on June 30. Looks like lots of music and different styles, plus Denver is a great place to be over the summer. Come on out to the show and enjoy the Rocky Mountains.

Herb Steiner, Rose Sinclair, Jan Wise, Rick Schmidt, Mike Morrison, Scotty, John Macy, John Arnold, Chuck Lettes, Bob Case and more! AND: The Jim Hyatt Band (www.jimhyattband.com) will be backing up players throughout the day.
ABOUT THE JAM
Expect to hear a wide variety of musical styles, from traditional & non-pedal, to more modern and improvisational sounds. We want to show you the versatile sounds of the steel guitar in a variety of musical settings, from trios to five-piece bands.
ABOUT SOME OF THE PLAYERS
Scotty (DeWitt Scott) - influenced by Jerry Byrd, Don Helms and Little Roy Wiggins. Scotty has written 8 instruction steel guitar books, as well as many instruction books on his Midland label. A member of the International Steel Guitar Hall of Fame, he has hosted the annual Steel Guitar Convention in St. Louis for forty years. www.scottysmusic.com.

Chuck Lettes - featured writer for several steel guitar magazines, teacher and player with national artists from Doug Kershaw to Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, locally with The Jim Hyatt Band and a longtime sideman in Lannie Garrett's “Patsy DeCline Show.” Chuck is a recent inductee into the Nebraska Country Music Hall of Fame.

Bob Case - playing steel guitar in bands since the early 1970s. He has worked with Billy Spears, Dusty Drapes and the Dusters, Lynn Morris, Junior Brown and Doug Kershaw, among others. Bob is currently playing with Jockamo, a New Orleans style rhythm and blues band and has just finished a successful run in Starkey Theatrix’s production of “Always…Patsy Cline.” He also is an accomplished dobro and bass player.

JB Arnold - featured writer for the Pedal Steel Guitar Association's Newsletter, a huge fan of country rock, especially the work of Buddy Cage. He plays with the Country Touch Band.

Herb Steiner - playing steel guitar for over 45 years. Herb is a member of the Texas Steel Guitar Hall of Fame, and the Western Swing Society Hall of Fame in Sacramento, California.

Rose Sinclair- multi-instrumentalist who's toured with folk bands all over the world. She started playing steel guitar in 2000.

Rick Schmidt - The original steel guitarist for local band Dusty Drapes and the Dusters. He has since played professionally all over the world, and still does gigs and sessions around Southern California. He loves playing "real country", but specializes in jazz and blues.

Mike Morrison - played traditional steel guitar with Country Comfort and country rock with Cat's Paw in the 1980s and rock & roll pedal steel with The Griffins and Metalbillies in the '90s. Currently, he's with Bigfoot and the Prehistoric Dogs and The Bakersfield Band, bringing steel back to its country home.

Jan Wise - has been playing the steel guitar for over 30 years. She was voted the Texas Steel Guitar Association's Player of the Year.

John Macy - has been on the Denver steel guitar scene since the l970s. He is a recording studio owner and is currently working with Casey James Prestwood and the Burning Angels. A top-notch player!
