I know at one time someone was making cases for steels that had a separate case for the legs, rods and pedal bar to make carrying the steel a little lighter, I am interested in one to make mine a little more compact to carry in an RV and I was wondering if anyone could tell me who made them or if they are still making them. I thought of going to a Carter Starter or a lightweight S10 but have 2 steels now. Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks in advance...Jeff

what kind of steel do you have, I have a set of the Danny Bentley cases like new that I don't use now .I had them made for my d-10 Mullen and also used them for my d-10 Carter. But I wound up just puttin wheels on my stock cases. I think I paid $225 for them when I had them made would probably take $150 for them.

Wondering I'f anyone has flown with the fiber cases. I'm thinking hat with enough padding they would do well at 30,000 feet.

Hatton cases are lighter than standard...
I like them... No point in getting extra heavy split cases.
