Here's my version of Django Reinhardt's "Nuages" played on my '61 Fender D-8 Stringmaster. Mike Neer helped me make this link. Thanks for listening.

Hi Rose, Nice playing. I was wondering if the "Girl Howdy" Band was still together? Can you give us an update on what they are doing now?

Rose is the perfect example of somebody who is putting their mind, body, time, heart, & soul into growth (musically speaking because she hasn't grown an ounce in the four years that I've known her) and those of us who have been following her certainly see the steady improvement in her playing and confidence.

I like the tone (fuller sounding) and feeling that you're getting in this tune along with chord voicings.

Rose,....you rock!

Very nice, Rose...

It was nice to meet you the other night, thanks for stopping in to "my" gig. Smile

I would like to have hung out more but had a bit of a personal situation going on that I had to attend to between sets.

Look forward to seeing you play in person before long.

I saw Rose a couple years ago at the SWSGA non pedal session. She started out a little tentative but by the time she was done Rose was very impressive . One of the better performers of the day, I thought.

Gee...thanks!

Morgan -- I moved to Texas, but Girl Howdy rides on -- I hooked them up with Karen Sarkisian, a Boston pedal steel player whom I met on the Forum (of course)!

HowardR -- As you know, meeting you, Jeff Strouse and Rick Alexander four years ago in the non-pedal room at the Dallas steel show totally changed my life!!

Mike -- Thanks for helping me post this and for your impressive Lapsteelin' Blog. I'm a huge fan.

Niels, Bob, Will -- Appreciate your kind words!

Pete -- My old friend and former bandmate, fiddler Tara Nevins, told me that you did a tour with her. It was great to finally meet you and hear you play with Chris Scruggs' Country Pleasures in Nashville.
