I have an old Gibson amp, Model BR-1, s/n 2379. Recently with the help of a friend who restores vintage radios, it is now working fine. The original leather handle is gone and I need a picture of this amp from a catalog or a Forumite to see what handle I need. (and where can I get one?)

Also, when was this amp made?

Thanx,
Jim

Here are a couple links for you to check out...
BR1 Pix (shows the handle)
Vintage Gibson Amp Gallery - Chronolgy, Pix and Schematics (click on 46 BR1 - right hand side of the list - scroll down for the '50's)

Here's another pix that shows a different kind of handle.

One place to check is Mojotone for the Leather Handle.

I've got one too! Great amp! And,,,,,, I need a "correct" handle too.
Only 15 watts from two 6L6s? Seems louder than that!
