I recently acquired a used Mullen D-10 from Jim Smith (thanks Jim, she plays like a dream as you said).
However it just doesn't have the warm and rich tone that my Sho-Bud does, which is equipped with George-Ls.
Has any Mullen player switched to George Ls and found them to be an improvement?
If so, how much work is involved? In other words, will someone like myself with amateur soldering skills but otherwise mechanically inclined be able to handle the conversion?
Thanks,
-Jim

Don is right. Call Bill Lawrence and talk to him about a pickup for your Mullen. He can dramatically improve your sound. You'll smile after you put it in. Tel. 610-974-9544.
