I have been playing steel for less than a year, picking things up by ear but never really had any formal lessons. Anyways, a chance has come up for me to go on tour as a steel player in support of a local artist... 70 shows, 3 months on the road, the real deal. I want to lock it down more than anything, so I need some lessons to sharpen my chops. If there's anyone in the Saskatchewan area that would be willing to help me out, that would be greatly appreciated. Obviously I would compensate fairly with $$ (or whiskey if that's what you're in to).
Thanks for reading,

If you're out in the Calgary area, I'm playing a house gig about an hour southwest of Calgary at a beautiful old hotel. I could spend an afternoon with you if you wanted. |

John Lacey is a great steel player and it would be well worth the trip. There is nothing like someone who has walked the walk and John certainly has.
Make the trip! |
