Amazing IMO is what I call the new ZT Club 12 200 watts.22LB combo amp, I was not expecting the sheer power coming from this little amp the volume is so loud and without any breakup amazing.
The Roland 80XL is a superb amp I know I used one for a few month, but this amp is smaller lighter and more powerful and IMHO gives it a good run for it`s money, sounds even better when using the effects loop.
I will be giving ZT a try along with my Fender Deluxe90 DSP in stereo on my next gig, two small light amps
should be interesting.

Jimmy,
I have been using another ZT Amp set up, the Lunchbox at 200 watts with its Lunchbox Extension Cabinet. The Lunchbox has a 6 1/2" speaker, which most steel players would say is inadequate for the range on a steel guitar. With the 2 speakers in play I have essentially the air movement capacity of a 13" speaker. I know that really does not relate as being the same, but the sonic effect is. Really. I have the amp and extension fanned out about 6 feet from each other, behind me. I would really like to get my hands on a ZT Club like yours too. I need the reverb that is not loaded on the smaller Lunchbox. I use a Boss RV-3 pedal to supply the reverb and delay I like. I play in a 6 piece band, with drums , bass, banjo, guitar and a lead guitar, all plugged in, and my steel never has trouble being heard. I have been playing through this minature rig for 2 years and would never go back to lugging around a big heavy amp again. |
