Just a thought would a 12inch 4 ohm Black Widow speaker work ok in a Fender Deluxe 90 DSP combo?

I have been told it would need a more powerful amp to drive it.

Thanks Jimmy G

Should work fine, the impedance is correct according to the manual. 90 watts is plenty of power. Whether it sounds better will be up to you.

Well i thought i would give it a try,and i am very glad i did,i know it has made the amp a bit heavier but the difference it has made in the overal sound is well worth the extra weight Smile it sounded good before the transplant but it sounds even better now.The BW speaker gives it a more fuller sound with steel.and i love the sound with my Strat Telecaster and Les Paul.

And it`s as loud as my old Peavey LA 400 was before it went caput Sad it has plenty of headroom more than enough for the places i play.

If you have a 4 ohm speaker in the Deluxe it's OK. Just don't use the extension speaker output with another speaker.

I have a Duluxe with the stock speaker and use another 8 ohm speaker in the extension output jack for a balanced 4 ohm load.

Hi Len my Fender Deluxe 90 does not have a extension speaker socket, so I don`t need to worry about that Very Happy
