Topic: What Device for Louder Sound Practicing Through Headphones |

So I really like the Walker Stereo Steel for the fact that I when practicing with headphones, I can play an ipod/laptop through the red,white rca jack on the bottom of the unit. And I can a clean sound with plenty of headroom and volume with headphones.
So I was kindof dissapointed when I got a handheld pod. after trying all the different styles, I dont like that the volume is not as loud as I could get it on the walker.
Ive been reading some old forum topics. Should I try a mixer like behringer or something to get a louder sound? Would these get me a louder sound? or is there anything you could recommend?

Keenan,
I bought the smallest, cheapest, behringer powered mixer for use as a headphone amp, it worked really well for that. I could put in steel, DVD, effects etc..and have a seperate level and EQ for all inputs.
I loaned it to a friend, he moved away, its gone....
I think it was about $70.00 at guitar center. Hard to beat at that price.[/b] |

| I just got the Behringer HA-400 Headphone Amplifier free with a recent headphone purchase. It has a stereo 1/4" jack input. All you need is one of those 1/8" mini stereo to 1/4" stereo adapters. Many headphones have these adapters included for use of both input jack types. |
