They're all short scale. Do you need it in exact millimeters? |

I think they used the same body / neck for all of the 6-7-8 strings.
They would just tap out the extra holes / tuners on the 7-8s. The 10 string was completely different. _________________ '65 Sho-Bud D-10 Permanent • '54 Fender Dual-8 • Clinesmith T-8 • '38 Ric Bakelite • '92 Emmons D-10 Legrande II |

I'm making a lap steel and I'm trying to decide what body shape I want.I'm the kind of guy that if someone wanted to know something that I possibly knew or could find out,I'd be more than happy to.Thats what makes America such a great country people helping people, neighbor helping neighbor. _________________ I wanna go back to my little grass shack........ |

My only reason for asking was in an effort to learn what it was you had planned and to what detail you needed the dimension about which you seemed to be inquiring.
Sorry I asked. |

I'm probably gonna have to start my own Measuement Forum. That way,if I'm lucky in a couple of years somehow the subject of music might come up.then in a couple more years even as obscure the subject of Steel Guitar and even moreso Lap Steel Guitar might come up.Then if I'm still alive,I might be able to ask some kind soul the measurements of his or her Rickenbacher or Rickenbacker, whichever the case may be. _________________ I wanna go back to my little grass shack........ |

Like so many of my fellow forumites,I had an instrument I sold and later wished I hadn't.At one time I was the proud owner of a Capital Baritone Ukulele, which I sold to a friend right down the street. So I 'm just gonna have to get off my ass (can I say ass)?and go see P.J. Who I'm sure will let me borrow or better yet,let me bring my wood,(not that kind of wood)! and let me trace the body shape onto my wood.( not that kind of wood!)so I guess I don't need to trouble any of my fellow forumites to get measurements of their precious Rick Bakelite Steel Guitars. Thanks anyway,Your Friend Tom _________________ I wanna go back to my little grass shack........ |
