We lost Marty Robbins 30 years ago yesterday, and tomorrow is the 16th anniversary of Faron Young's death.

Diane, thanks for the reminders. I loved both of these singers, and have read both of your books about these great performers. Looking forward to seeing your next book.

Hope you have a Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year.

I met Marty and Faron back in the late 70's, at a venue in Walker, La. They were really great down to earth people. I really miss them both. They always made time for the fan.

They have a Band there on a Friday night and he will come out and get up and sing and you close your eyes and you think it is Faron Young. He now has a son and I can't remember the baby boys first name but his middle name and last name is you got it Faron Young.

Trey is not Faron's son, although he has perfected that role. And assumed the name.

I also know Trey. He may not be Faron's son, but he sure thinks he is. I really couldn't care either way, but with what authority do you disagree?

You'll learn much more by reading "Live Fast, Love Hard: The Faron Young Story." Trey is not in it, mostly because he didn't respond to my attempts to contact him. I did talk to many people who are adamant that Trey is not Faron's son. (Including Trey's supposed mother, Eva.) This would have been Trey's perfect opportunity to be included in Faron's life story, because I'm an objective biographer and I had no prejudice one way or the other. But he chose not to talk to me. The dates don't match, and I have heard nothing from anything to support his claim of being Faron's son.
