Can the pole pieces of an original Stringmaster pickup be adjusted to alter the volume of a string?

If so, how?

Thanks
Jim

No, just an overall hight adjustment as per a Strat. A screw at either end so you can angle bass heavy or treble heavy. Steve

What if you put a small piece of metal or magnet on the particular pole?

You can add booster magnets underneath... those little neodymium discs would work. Or you can have the whole thing re-magged... they lose magnetism over time. Make sure your strings are new and you don't have one bronze one on!
