Emmons set up. Mark Giles body with inlaid mother of pearl fret board markers and the Rains emblem is custom inlaid mother of Pearl. You won't find another Rains quite like this one. The fretboard is hand made inlaid and lacquered over for a beautiful smooth feel and look. It is like brand new. Pickups have adjustable poles so you can tune in the tone that fits your taste. There is not a nick or bar ding in this guitar. Built in 2008. It is pristine. 1 inch under standard height,
which measures 25 1/2 inches from floor to bottom of apron. When I bought this guitar it was already 1" under and that one inch made a world of difference in how much easier and more comfortable it was to play, so I immediately bought legs and rods for my push pull to lower it one inch.

Copedant:
Pedals
1 strings 5 and 10
2 3 5 raises
3 10 5 and 4 raises
4 10 5 raises
5 10 5 lowers
6 6 lowers 2 raises
7 4 3 raises
8 10 lowers, 8 and 1 raises
Knees
LKL 8 4 raises
LKR 8 4 lowers
C6th LKL 4 lowers
C6th LKR 9 4 raises
LKV 1 2 raises
RKL 3 lowers on C6th
RKL 5 lowers on E9th
RKR 9 2 lowers on E9th
RKR 3 raises on C6th

$3600.00 shipped in the US

This is a beautiful guitar. I played it in Brooklyn when Bob Hoffnar had it. It's hard to tell in the photos but the fretboard has actual inlays on it, this is not a standard glued on sheet with fretmarkers, but a real work of art.

Thanks guys, it really is a nice guitar. Gordan is right, that fretboard is too cool. You can run your fingers across it and you don't feel anything. It is inlaid in the neck and it is all under the lacquer.
Bob Hoffner's pickups are pretty darn cool too. You have 20 poles that you can adjust up and down to position them closer or farther away from the strings depending on the tone that you are looking for.

Thanks a lot

Hey Caleb, I guess you can call me crazy. I have thought about backing out several times, but I just don't need two expensive guitars. It has been a very hard decision on which one to sell.

Being a friend of Mark Greenway, I have played this steel. It is everything he has said it is. It plays and looks good and the sound is fantastic. Whoever buys this guitar will be very happy.

I have added the copedant to the ad for those interested. If you wanted to change it to your set up, I will take it to Gary Carpenter and have him set it up the way you want it. You tell him what you want and pay him for it. I will take it to him and pick it up for you, if you need it shipped.

I may have just know sold it. It's not a for sure yet. I am going to hold it for a guy here locally for a few days.

So, it's only a maybe, not sold yet, but on hold.

Man, I may be sorry for doing this. It is a unique Rains and sounds really really good. I'll regret it one of these days. I wish the Push Pull would sell first.

It may be gone Thursday. It won't be going far if it does sell Thursday. A nice guy named Jay Noel saw it on Craigslist. He is going to get a nice guitar if he takes it.

Sorry guys (and gals) I have got a heck of a guitar to play, now I have a responsibility to make it sound pretty. It is everything described and more, but I could never afford a steel like this, and when I saw the ad I jumped on it. Literally. Thank you Mark for enabling a poor boy to acquire something he never would have thought he would be able to, to get a high quality instrument that not only plays superbly but also is one of the prettiest steels I have ever seen. Since I don't even know how to use half the pedals and levers yet, I have a lot to learn. I don't even know how open tune the C6 neck, but I will learn. It sounds like western swing steel and like old Don Helms and some newer George Strait. Surprised
