Hi there -
I built a 6 string pedal steel operated by bike cables. It's tuned B-E-G#-B-E-G# low to high. It has fully functional A, B, and C pedals with standard Emmons changes. It also has 2 knee levers, which lower E to Eb and raise it to F.
As you can see it is quite crude and was built to play around with. Nonetheless, it does stay in tune, the fretlines are accurate, and you can play tunes on it, within its 6 string limit.
I have moved on, need the space, and would like to give it to someone who would get some use out of it, rather than just scrap it.
It does not break down for transport in any way, so I need someone to pick it up - plus I would have to show you how to tune the changers.
I live in the Atlanta area. Send me a PM if you have interest.
Thanks,
Iestyn

I love this homebuilt stuff.....think MacGyver. I have considered the challenge of building a 6-string guitar at home with the requirement that all parts and materials "must be" purchased from Home Depot.
Someone will enjoy owning this..... |

Could donate it to the local High School, to be used in their physics class. May have a few students come out of the school, wanting to play pedal steel guitar. It might also get double duty, shared by the schools Wood Shop... Yes, very cool, indeed... |
