Back in my pedal steel-only days I met Cindy Cashdollar when the band I played with opened for Dave Alvin and Guilty Women. (2008 or so.) What's funny is at that time I barely knew who she was (almost didn't recognize her) and I didn't have the interest that I have today for lap steel.

However, I did have the good sense to snap a pict of her axes after they sound checked!

She was super cool and even said to me as I was hauling out my Zum "Man, I gotta get one of those!" In retrospect I regret not talking shop with her.

I notice she have paint the side of her Gibson fret board! It was my first lap steel, the exact same model and color and the fretboard was confusing on a gig situation with low light, its a bad idea to paint it for a colector but for a player its a very good one. I sold it because its just a 6 strings but I regret it now, is a very nice sounding instrument.
