Hello Everyone;
I would like to take a minute to say a BIG Thank You to Albert & Debbie Talley.
Also a Thank You to all the staff of the TSGA.

It was a great show & I know everyone put in a lot of hard work -that's what it takes as I know all of this does not happen on it's own.

On behalf of the Telonics family we would sure like to say Thank You for taking the time to come by the Telonics room..
We met a lot of new friends + got see a lot of our friends we have known for a while too.

We are all tired but that is what this show can do to you - so many folks to see & talk with + so many many things to do & see here.

The warm Texas hospitality & the great food always go down easy.

It was wonderful to spend so many hours talking about our favorite past time - steelin'.
For all of you out there that have never been to a steel show - you need to attend one.
It is so addictive if you are not a steel "junkie" before then you will be after you attend a show - nothing like it!

I will add some more later when I get back home as I am still in Dallas & have to get packed up & get in bed as I fly out in the morning.
Thanks for reading - Ron

They all 3 had them guitars a smokin' !!!

Hey Ron it was great to catch up with you in the Telonics room, I managed to get the speaker home in one piece ..... I really enjoyed sitting and playing with Mark Dunn, and taking Dave's Infinity for a test drive ... most enjoyable weekend all round, thanks so much for your hospitality and company.

I caught up with Dave and Sophie at the airport too which was great Very Happy

Hey Ron
You folks are the best. Thanks for letting me test drive the combo. I can't wait to have one to play full time.

Also many thanks to Sophie. Dave, Amber, Stacy and the whole crew. I'll play Rose City Chimes for Dave the next time we meet.

Hello All;
Paddy I am so sorry I forgot your name up above.
You had that Infinity guitar of Dave's heated up when you were jammin' with Mark.
You sounded GREAT my friend..

Short NZ story - I have a friend that does a lot of modern country & writes a lot of his own material too.
He toured NZ 2 times now & was a hit with the real young ones I guess. He told me if I would go there
with the classic honky-tonk music I sing I would be a big star there..Ha Ha..

Larry - you are most welcome my friend -
we were going to get together & talk some more but I got so busy I could not get back with you - sorry..

Bob - I knew by the look on your face when you set down to the combo you were going to get one!!
Speaking of looks on your face - I wish I had a camera ready when Dave requested Rose City Chimes -
then you told us you had never played that song & we all had a big laugh!!

More Later .. Thanks so much for the nice comments
from all of our friends..
Ron

Hi Paddy - you bet you sure could.

My friend told me everywhere they went in NZ he was asked to play the classic country..
He said they really love it there!!

Since that is what I sing & play, he said I would be a big star in NZ - Ha Ha..

More Later ..
Thanks .... Ron

The 2 amp clinics in Dallas >>

I almost forgot but I do want to talk about the great amp clinic that was put on in the Telonics show room Friday & Saturday afternoon for 1 hour each day.
The room was full each time & most all the seats were taken by steelers both young & old.
They were there to learn about their amps & I know everyone that did attend did learn something from these amp clinics.
They were so very informative & casual you could not help but learn something.

They were hosted by the following amp builders who build amps specifically for the steel guitar world.
Dave Beaty (Telonics)
Jim Evans (founder Evans Amplifiers)
Ken Fox (Fox Vintage Amplifiers)
Scot Buffington (Evans amplifiers)
and Brad Sarno (Sarno Music Solutions).

These clinics did not feature any one brand but covered all brands.
It was great just to be in the room & listen to these knowledgeable amp builders talking & helping all of us to learn about our own amps.

We had a lot of great feedback from the folks that did attend.
Some hung around after the class was over to speak to the amp builders one on one & these men gave freely of their time for all of us
to learn something + it did not cost anyone anything to go to the class..
Where else can you find something as informative as the class was at no cost to you?

My hat is off for all of the gentlemen listed above !!
THANK YOU ALL !!
Ron
