Has to be - Ronnie Milsap with John Hughey. Real nice version. I really like the "I Fall to Pieces" style guitar figures also. |

I can agree with John Hughey on steel and Dave's comment about the guitar figures but I can't hear all the Ronnie Milsap vocal style to be sure it's him...!!

Great Steel Playing but it soundedd like he was out in the Hall from my sound system. Maybe just a poor "Mix" ! _________________ Sacramento Western Swing Society Hall of Fame, 1992 |

Walter,
Here is an instrumental version of that Tune that Mike Cass did "live" in Knoxville, Tn. several years back when he was playing with Ray Price. Mike is the only one I ever heard play this tune as an instrumental...Mike does a great job and I thought you all might like to hear it...in case you haven't already.

Good Morning,
The singer is really Ronnie Milsap and the steel player is John Hughey. John played on several Milsap recordings from the mid 70s.
Thanks for the link, Roger. That is really a great version of that song. Mike's a great player.
Kind Regards, Walter _________________ www.lloydgreentribute.com |
