$375
I'm the second owner. I bought this Danelectro Convertible from the original owner who purchased it new from Guitar Center on Ventura Blvd around 1999 or 2000. This was the first group of Reissues from Danelectro. He saw it pictured in an article in the LA Times business section about Guitar Center and went right down there and bought it. It is the coolest Aqua Green of all time with a dark Rosewood fretboard. In mint condition, this Danelectro never left his (non-smoking) house until it came to my house (also a non-smoking house too). Comes with a mint condition Danelectro Tweed case. This guitar plays like a dream, sounds Dano incredible and is a beauty to behold too. Check out the photos and see for yourself.

Yeah, I have three, two of which are now available to someone lucky enough to grab them. These aren't beaters. I'm keeping my Dano baritone, though. _________________ Just another belt & suspenders guy... |

Too bad I'm in a period of "GAS Moratorium" or I'd love to take this off your hands.
J.J. Cale played here at McNear's Mystic Theater in Petaluma about three years ago and he did the whole show in a cream white version of this guitar, though his also has a piezo pickup added. It's the first time I'd seen him live since the '70s when he used to play the "Frankenstein" Harmony with the back missing due to all the electronics.
The Danelectro reproduction sounded great. But then we're talking J.J. Cale - every guitar sounds good when he's playing it. _________________ Mark |

I'm in serious GAS moratorium mode due to an IRS invasion, and making motions of selling guitars I didn't think I'd sell but it's my own fault for buying so many probably. Comments like yours always remind me of why I probably shouldn't sell. Yup, it's a very fun guitar, weighs about 1/3 of my players and I always think, hey I should bring this one along with me whenever I go out 'cause it's such a spontaneous little puppy. I have an old '52 RI Tele with a piezo on it but now you're giving me ideas. _________________ Just another belt & suspenders guy... |
