My friend Oscar Calderon played guitar and sang these tunes with a drum machine. Then I overdubbed the steel parts on my Sierra lap steel. Lastly, he brought in his drum set and we deleted the drum machine.

I'm playing though a POD XT (no amp). The Sierra is tuned to D6th, same as my pedal steel.

I enjoyed the music, Oscar's performance and the instruments, and listened to them all. The marimba fit in nicely. You could have utilized it more, I thought, and nice steel playing too!

Sounds like you guys are having fun with this project. I use the same recording methodology regarding percussion. It certainly worked out well for you.
