These don't come along often.I have an '04 Asher Model 1 made in the USA by Bill in Los Angeles. It has the custom stack coil pickups with the tortoise shell covers that Bill was using at the time along with the koa top and a chambered mahogany body(great sustain),and split coil pull-out knob, and the original mint Asher custom case.Very versatile sounds from Ben Harper,David Lindley,Steinar Gregertsen.etc
A new one will set you back north of $2,400 plus the wait time. This one is $1,750 shipped CONUS.Thanks.

I have one of these and they are amazing instruments. They have a tone like no other lap on the market. Great for open D tuning.

You're right Bill, there's something special about these. They're capable of a wide variety of sounds from clean to mean. This one has the slightly wider string spacing that Bill's pickups offered making it a joy to play.

It is the one steel I'd never sell.

Buyers will not be sorry.

For those asking, the pickups are humbuckers which can be split to single coil by pulling the volume knob up offering slightly more gain and the single coil sound.
