For sale...Carter Universal S12-U...E9th/B6th.
7 pedals...5 knee levers..Emmons setup...Standard Jeff Newman tuning. George L 12-1 Pickup. One owner...bought December 1998. Smoke free, light playing only. I have an owners manual and will furnish a tuning chart. Plays and stays in tune well. In the case it weighs 50 Lbs....Steel alone weighs 32 Lbs.Logo is gone from pickup...some bar dings....Small chip on top at right rear,near changer. Price is $1650.00 shipped.....Continental USA only

I've been interested in a universal for a little while. I read somewhere that Carter U's are lighter than many others. Do you have the weight in & out of the case?
Also, could you provide the copedant chart?
I live in No. Nev, so I doubt if I could drive the mileage to TX.

Kenny...go for it if you can. I got mine, Black too Smile in 2003 and it was used. The guy who ordered it had "never" play a steel in his life and of course a universal for a first steel was too much to handle.
Let me vouch as many others do that Carters are brilliant guitars...Bud Carter builds them good Very Happy

....just noticed the last post above...Rest assured you'll enjoy that Carter Smile
