The solo in this tune, "Country Comforts", from the album, "Tumbleweed Connection".

It starts after 2:35, tis' real pretty.

Travis,

Yes that is easy. Try downloading the YouTube as an mp3 and then play it at half speed in Microsoft MediaPlayer. It is alway worthwhile to find out solo's by yourself because you can learn a lot from this.

Let me know if this does not work for you and I will tab it out for you (unless someone else has already done this job...).

BTW, does anyone know who played the steel here?

The steeler is BJ Cole, and I've already figured out a lot of it...it's mostly AB pedal action on strings 3-8 between frets 10 and 12 from what I can tell, but there a few parts where it sounds like there are some purdy knee lever licks going on.

Just from quick listening, the only two spots I hear a knee lever is:

1. on the 4th beat of the 1 measure: AB --> -2 AB--> -2L (on strings 4&5)
2. after 13 s: A&B --> A&B&L (dominant 9th chord)

Rest sounds like only A&B or no pedals.
