My first attempt at recording this tune. it's far from perfect but I thought I would share it anyways. The backing track is from the Bromley Tab/CD course. I slowed it down quite a bit. Any and all feedback good or bad always appreciated.

Hey Karen
That sounds really good. I've been workin on this tune myself from the Tom Brumley course. How did you slow that backing track down ? |

I have software called ASD (amazing slow downer) you can download it from the web. It's great software I use it every day. _________________ Emmons, Franklin, Mullen |

Karen, I see you using the AMAZING SLOW DOWNER, that's a must to have when learning licks and fast tempo steel songs. I was able to learn about 7 songs that David Hartley has on YOUTUBE by using the ASD.
Keep up the recordings, you sound great.

Karen,
That sounds lovely. I've only been playing a bit over 6 months, and frequently come back to this song to see how I am progressing. I suspect I'm still a few years away from getting such a smooth performance!
I had no idea Brumley had instructional material available. He's certainly one of my favorite steelers. I'd love to get my hands on a copy. Where can I find this material? |
