Not sure what this is - I acquired it along with a bunch of stuff in an estate purchase of a steel guitar. I suspect it is from the 70's or 80's, and I welcome any comments or info.
This could be the one that gives you the sound you have been looking for!
Probably worth more but asking $75 firm plus $5 shipping continental US.
Thanks

Just wondering why it would be worth more or the sound someone was looking for? Looks like an Emmons single coil but possibly another brand. What is the reading on a meter? There is an Emmons pickups listed by a member for $60 as comparison. You asked for comments and info! |

Good questions David,
Turns out it is likely a 1960's emmons pickup worth $175 testing properly, less if not.
I just sold it for more than my asking price.
As to sound, that is a personal thing, which is why I stated that it might be just the sound someone is looking for. |

I'm not sure where you're getting a reference for the value of an Emmons pickup, but I've personally never seen an Emmons pickup sell for $175. I'm glad however that you sold the pickup at "more than your asking price" and wish you the best in your future dealings here on the forum!

Thanks Dave,
I'm just a novice in the pedeal steel world but everyone I've corresponded with on the forum has been very nice and very generous with their time and information. |

Not being an Emmons guru, I noticed the post 3 minutes after Paul posted it and said to myself "that's a really great price on an older Emmons pickup" if a guy was in the market...I dunno |

Good point Kevin.
The guy who purchased it is a collector who said there's not too many of these from the 60's out there.
He's a stand-up guy who offered me more than my asking price - he got something he was looking for, I sold something I was not using - win-win. |
