My response is not exactly to your question, but when my daughter attended Northwest Classen High School in Oklahoma City, she was a classmate of Vince.

My daughter played the guitar and sang, and she asked me to invite some of her classmates for a musical, one of hich was Vince Gill, and another was the son of the famous guitarist Benny Garcia.

I was also a working musician in that era, and I never found the time to spend with teen-age wannabees like high-schooler Vince Gill.

Vince ultimately became a celebrity and a successful vocalist/instrumentalist. My daughter eventually became a lawyer and remained a fan of Vince.

My era as a steel guitar player spanned the years 1948 to 2001 when I retired from music, but I love rhose who continue to try to salvage those elements from the past.

Finbarr, double check, it might be all blue grass, this happened to me at Myrtle Beach, if this is the way it is you will not see ANY steel player, no compliant, it was outstanding blue grass, I was just expecting a country band.
